Last month I was elected to the Victory Fund’s campaign board — a group of people dedicated to raising funds and supporting LGBT candidates for public office. Every time an openly LGBT person is elected to office, it makes it far less likely that anti-LGBT laws will pass in that legislative body. As part of the campaign board, I’ve committed to contributing $1200 and raising $5000 another annually.
Fortunately, we have many great candidates worthy of our help — and making history along the way. People like Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin who is running for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin and could become the nation’s first openly LGBT Senator!
